This candy recipe was from my grandma and my mom. It was a super treat that we made at Christmas every year and I have continued the tradition with my family.
Put all ingredients into heavy pot, cook over medium heat and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Once it comes to a boil - continue for 20 minutes or until forms soft ball in glass of cold water.
Remove from heat and beat till stiff. Pour into 9 x 12 greased pan and refrigerate till hard.
Cut into small pieces and wrap in cut-up pieces of wax paper. Store in cool place.
This is a soft toffee. If you beat it longer it will be a harder toffee. Don't eat too much!
