Pear Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup pears (peeled, cored & chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter, gradually beating in sugar.
  • Beat in eggs. Set aside.
  • Combine dry ingredients and add to egg mixture alternately with yogurt.
  • Stir in pears and vanilla.
  • Pour into buttered loaf pan.
  • Bake in pre-heated oven at 350F for 45 minutes.
