Nuts and Bolts

Every Christmas my mom would make nuts and bolts. This became a tradition that I carried on. Every year my family asks me “are you making nut and bolts?” I even have the roaster mom used. Thanks mom, I miss you.
Course Appetizers, Misc (e.g., hollandaise sauce, café latte)
Servings 26 cups

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Celery salt
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 8 cups Cheerios Cereal
  • 7 cups Life Cereal or Crispex
  • 7 cups Shreddies Cereal
  • 3 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups peanuts or mixed nuts

Instructions
 

  • In large roasting pan combine butter, oil and seasonings, mix well.
  • Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  • Bake in a 250 F oven for 3 hours. Mix every 30 minutes.
  • Cool and place in airtight container.
