Bannock (A Canadian Indigenous Bread)

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp bacon or pork fat (in 1 2/3 cups of warm water)

Instructions
 

  • Mix well. Knead until all flour is used and dough is smooth.
  • Roll to 1 1/2 inch thick.
  • Prick with fork and bake on cookie sheet at 500 degrees (F) for 20 minutes.
