    Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 sweet peppers, halved and cored
    • 2 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 green pepper, diced
    • 1 ½ lb. top sirloin steak, thinly sliced and marinated
    • 8 mushrooms, chopped and sauteed in butter and garlic
    • 8 slices stronger cheddar cheese (provolone)
    • 4 generous dollops of cheese whiz.

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to broil and move the rack to top level
    • Place pepper halves on baking sheet and broil 5 - 7 minutes, then flip for another 5 - 7 minutes.
    • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onions and green peppers in oil 5-7 minutes, until soft. Remove from pan.
    • In the same pan, saute steak slices until they are fully cooked.
    • Add in the pepper mixture.
    • Top with provolone slices and mix in as they melt.
    • Fill each pepper half with mixture. Top with cheese whiz.
