Pear Bread

- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup pears (peeled, cored & chopped)
Instructions
- Cream butter, gradually beating in sugar.
- Beat in eggs. Set aside.
- Combine dry ingredients and add to egg mixture alternately with yogurt.
- Stir in pears and vanilla.
- Pour into buttered loaf pan.
- Bake in pre-heated oven at 350F for 45 minutes.
