    Peanut Butter Pie

    This is a recipe I was given more than 45 years ago by Jean McMillan of Auburn, Alabama. When I make this pie, I think of the wonderful cooks God placed in my life as He has placed so many wonderful people in my life.

    Servings 8 slices

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 large frozen pie crust (I use Pet Ritz)
    • 4 oz light cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
    • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
    • 1 container Cool Whip
    • Hershey's chocolate syrup for garnish, if desired

    Instructions
     

    • Bake empty pie shell according to package directions. Let cool.
    • Cream together the cream cheese and sugar; cream in the peanut butter. Fold in the Cool Whip.
    • Pour this mixture into pie shell. Freeze for more than 6-8 hours (usually overnight).
    • Makes eight slices. Serve with chocolate syrup if desired.Note: It will be hard to slice.
